Have you read "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp? She asks the question as to why she is not happier, how to live a life well-lived. She starts to look for why and begins a list of 1000 gifts from God in her everyday life, and it leads to greater understanding. I an almost 1/2 through and it has really made a lot of sense to me.
